It is the responsibility of the School-Age Childcare Site Leader for providing a child care program of the highest quality for both children and their parents in one of our before/after school locations.
We are currently looking to hire for positions in ALL of our before and after school sites which include; Sanford, Lyman, Waterboro, Alfred, Shapleigh, Berwick, North Berwick & Lebanon Essential Job Duties That Must Be Safely Performed With or Without Reasonable Accommodation:
Manage daily before and after school operations; including lesson planning and implementation of activities.
Participate in child care training and workshops which meet the state requirements of 40 hours a year.
Maintain a neat, clean and safe environment for children and staff at all times.
Ensure programs adhere to all state licensing regulations and YMCA policies.
Assist the Childcare Director with marketing of programs and maximization of net revenue.
Maintain monthly attendance records that meet licensing requirements.
Maintain weekly sign in/out sheets that meet licensing requirements.
Collect weekly payments, issue receipts and drop off payments at the YMCA at the end of each business day.
Maintain effective communication with YMCA staff, school personnel and parents at all times.
Be responsible for the safety of the children at all times.
Respect school property by ensuring that rooms and areas are left neat at all times.
Maintain complete confidentiality of all information obtained on the children in the YMCA programs and all personnel information, including benefits and salary information.
Follow all policies in the parent handbook.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Non-essential Job Duties:
Attend staff meetings as required.
Physical Demands/Hazards:
The position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling.
The position requires contact with members, families, facility staff, and the general public.
The position requires use of a VDT.
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to lift and carry children up to 50 pounds in weight in a safe manner.
Must be able to lift and move tables, chairs, and large equipment (toys) up to 50 pounds.
Required Job Skills:
Must be able to provide verbal/visual presentations to students.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
Proven ability to relate effectively with coworkers, employees, parents and children of varying ages.
Education/
Experience:
Must be a minimum of 21 years old and have graduated from an accredited high school or its equivalent and 12 months of employment in a licensed Child Care Facility licensed for 13 or more children and a have post secondary degree or 30 credit hours of college courses.
CPR and first aid certification required; must pass criminal background check.
General knowledge of the YMCA and its mission.
Must be skilled in program development and staff supervision.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
