Grounds Maintenance Worker at Sanford Country Club

Up to Par Management, LLC is seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join a dedicated, enthusiastic team of professionals at Sanford Country Club in Sanford, Maine. The grounds maintenance worker, under the supervision of the superintendent or assistant, performs work involving the use of a variety of mowers, trucksters and tractors. The grounds maintenance worker also uses a variety of hand tools and small power equipment to accomplish assigned tasks. All grounds maintenance personnel must review and abide by the Golf Course Maintenance Associate Health and Safety Handbook.
Responsibilities:
Mows greens, fairways, tees and roughs with appropriate mowers.
Performs required maintenance of bunkers.
Participates in all areas of golf maintenance.
Ensures that the equipment is in proper working condition; refills fuel and oil daily; cleans equipment daily; and reports equipment problems or failures to the appropriate supervisor immediately.
Provides basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the equipment manager or assistant superintendent, and returns equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility.
Performs other duties as directed by his/her supervisor.
Requirements:
Knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of tractors and other motorized equipment.
Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Available for weekend and holiday work, if needed.
Possession of a valid driver's license.
Team player, great attitude, dependable.
Must be 18 years or older.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
