Golf Shop Counter Attendant at Sanford Country Club
Up to Par Management, LLC is seeking an enthusiastic individual for the position of Golf Shop Counter Attendant at Sanford Country Club. This person will work with other high-quality professionals and will be primarily responsible for maximizing sales and profit in the shop while maintaining a high level of member satisfaction. This individual is also responsible for developing creative merchandise displays to enhance the profitability of the shop and maintain a clean, well-stocked retail shop.
Responsibilities:
Book tee times and coordinate with the golf sales manager
Coordinate with Professional Staff to ensure outstanding member service
Assist members in making informed decisions on purchases
Visually display all merchandise to enhance the profitability of the shop
Maintain a fully-stocked shop at all times and communicate merchandise needs to PGA Head Golf Professional
Communicate to PGA Head Golf Professional frequently requested items not currently stocked in the store to satisfy all needs of our members
Clean all merchandise displays as needed to enhance the visual presentation of the shop
Handle all monies throughout the shift including cash, checks, charges, travelers checks, gift certificates, etc., reporting any overages or shortages immediately to the PGA Head Golf Professional
Receive merchandise shipments, verify the specifications of the purchase order and communicate any discrepancies to the PGA Head Golf Professional immediately
Resolve receiving discrepancies with the supplier, receive merchandise into the inventory management system, and prepare necessary reports and documentation for accounting department
Compile record of items transferred between departments and adjust inventory management system accordingly
Download daily sales report and maintain records of monthly sales data
Assist in the preparation and execution of quarterly inventory
Attend mandatory company and/or departmental meetings and trainings
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach for an extended period of time
Ability to stand for 8-10 hours in a hot environment
Demonstrate proficiency of the English language
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong reading skills
Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidaysEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
